Commissioning a custom instrument can be an exciting and rewarding endeavour. The first step is to have a discussion about what you have in mind. I am happy to have a chat, with no obligation, so you can get a feel for what is involved and help you decide if you would like to proceed. When you are ready to place an order, I request a non-refundable holding deposit of $1000 to secure your place in my build schedule. We can now move on to the design process where we will look at all the options that are available with the input of your own ideas. After we have the design criteria finalised, and you have approved it, I will be able to give you a fixed price and an estimate for the time of delivery. Before building commences I require the deposit to be brought up to 1/3rd of the final cost of the instrument. Depending on the instrument there may be a progress payment and the final balance of payment is due upon completion of the instrument.
